What the check looks at
The check follows the order a surveyor would. First the things that can stop a job outright: a listed building, which needs planning permission, and a roof that needs replacing soon. Then the things that decide how much the panels make: direction and shade. Generation figures come from PVGIS v5.2 for Birmingham: about 969 kWh a year per kWp facing south and 777 kWh facing east or west.
